I could use a set, but were they not stamped from the back side and were an aluminum plate and not brass??

I have only ever seen aluminum. The only brass ones I have seen were on the very early Cdn Bren Carriers which had the large brass plate on the right fender.

I would certainly be in for a publications plate. I think my data plate is still in one piece.

Barry is willing to let us have his plates for to copy . Once I get a price I will let you know and each one will have to provide the information that he wants on the plate .Yes they are stamped from behind and that is why they have to be done by the plate maker .unless you have a set of left hand stamps the right size . All I have for a plate is a small corner left and it has paint on it and I just took for granted that it was brass . I'll scrape some paint off to see what it is tomorrow .The one on my Instrument pannel is okay and I can use it for a copy .Niegel"s Volume 2 page 41&42 tels you about the Data plates
