Just be carefull of old carby kits..often the seals and gaskets are 'age damaged 'and beyond use after years on the shelf . The gaskets shrink .

I've found using thin cork sheet 1/16" approx. , is best for making new gaskets ..super crap auto, the chain store here, sell it..its a mix of cork and modern neoprene granules pressed together ,,its the only stuff that i found seals petrol effectively

BTW the Carter W1 is tricky to set up..the Rochester, released in 1949 as a replacement for the carter ..is far superior
