Just some more info:

There are two versions of the Rochester ..the 216 type has a smaller throttle throat diameter , and probably different jets , compared to the 235 version... Ive seen some with what looks like a auto choke as well .

They are very simple with nothing to adjust . Twin floats .

There are definitely automatic choke Rochester B carbs. The B was used on quite a few other engines in addition to the 216, 235, 261 series over the years. Check out the Old Car Manual Project web site at http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/ for quite a bit more information.

3 Days ago I knew nothing about about these Carbies. Now Ive got access to info that will make me seem like an expert. MLU is only as good as the people on it and judging by this info it will be the best forum with great people for a long time to come.
