Default Pattern 12 F60L Wiring Routing

Hi Tony

Well I've been collecting photos of the routing of the harness on my Pat 12 C60L and looking through all of the manuals I've collected over the years, Because of the number of photos involved I will post them to my site. Hope I can get that done soon.

But I have a question, looking at some of my Ford Parts books it appears that the brake lines on the Fords runs down the passenger side of the vehicle while on Chevys both wiring harness, brake lines, fuel lines, and speedo cable run down the right or drivers side.

Questions:
Which side of the truck did the remains of your wiring harness run?
Which side do the brake lines to rear brakes run?

I'll keep working away on posting the info.

Cheers Phil

Thanks for getting back to me Phil. Had a look at your website too by the way. Good stuff!!

With regard to the Blitz

The wiring harness ran down the drivers side of the Chassis.

The Brake lines to the rear brakes ran down the passengers side.

Being a Canadian build for the Aussies, it is a right hand drive vehicle.

Don't stay up too late

Default Tony's progress

Visited Ganmain yesterday and was very impressed to see Tony's progress on his cab 12. Just looking at it you can see just how much work has gone into it.

Default Curious......

Looking at all these wonderful metal arches makes me long for Spring.....

curious..... are all the "arches" of cab 11/12 identical in every curve and details between Ford and Chevrolet.....? My Chev has a funny little offset curve near the steering wheel which makes the RH slightly different from the LH curve....... all the rest seems the same.....cast iron sheet metal support....fender brackets..... even the Air Conditioning hooks on the cowl for the front doors........

Always something to learn.

Please do not encourage Tony any further.
He is setting the bar WAY too high!
I think it is about time he slackened off a bit.

C'mon H, Tony will have your F15 at Corowa on an 'A' bar behind the Cab 12 before you know it.

Default Pictures of the wiring route on Pat 12 C60L

Hi Tony

When I see the work you have done I realize how much of a work in progress my C60L still is, and how much more I have to do.

But instead of waiting until I had a more complete web page on the process of copying, making and installing a reproduction harness. I thought I would post a series of photos and notes about just the routing of the harness. Hope it is of some use. Also maybe it will prompt some comments about what I've done incorrectly or how Fords are different from Chevrolets.

So here is the link to my work in progress http://www.canadianmilitarypattern.c...%20Harness.htm

Main index/home page for my site is of course http://www.canadianmilitarypattern.com/

Cheers Phil

Howard don't mind the tow to Corowa, it's the long trip in the un-upholstered seat he's not looking forward to.
