There are no gear box to axle bolts. The axle bolts, to the rear hull plate,via a short adapter. To remove the bolts holding the back plates to the hull, there is a notch in the brake drum. If you have doubts about being able to remove the hubs and drums after,(do they turn freely?) I would do them first. The hubs are heavy. The gear box is held in its position to the rear, by the two rods from the bell housing to the rear hull plate. The coupling will slide apart. Remove your speedo drive first.
