Hi Guys Well, today I went to the US and picked up my order of Meals Ready to Eat, (680 lbs)not the small envelopes but the large tray types. These are large portions of foods, sides and desserts. I also picked up a case of canned bacon, small cheese cans etc. This food is the same that is used in the US military kitchens and is quite good. I will have the food with me in Hammond. I will also have some of the original MRE packages some will be for sale. Gilles

MRE = Mainly Rat Entrails...

This will be interesting! BTW Gilles, I will have steak (as per your previous). It sounds like you have everything covered! Do I even need to bring my cooker?

Yeah, yeah...when given the choice between MREs/hard rations and fresh food, most sane folks go for the fresh food. However, if you are tired, cold, wet, miserable/pissed off, MREs are golden. Can't remember how may US hard rations I choked back here in Canada, but it was plenty.

MRE added value: they look the part in your Cold War Mil Vehicle.
