This is a "real" Champ, which is to say the civilian version (The military one was only a number -FV1800 - it just unofficially adopted the name ) Considerably rarer as well. Austin filmed a 20min or so PR colour film of two new Civvy Champs on a very hilly NZ sheep farm. For those that are interested, the difference's are Austin A90 engine Civilian dash One piece wheel rims (to all intents and purposes, Landy rims) Fixed windscreen frame Sidesteps No machine gun mount on scuttle Filled in front on front mudgaurd. 12 volt Quite obviously (from these pics) the propensity for rust is exactly the same. Here endeth the lesson. Rich.
