Which model truck and which manufacturer because this is something that seems to have changed and evolved. A photo of the floor boards around the peddles would help tell if there is something missing.

I understand from old comments that it was not uncommon for drivers to cut up pieces of carpet they "found" make the holes for the peddles more air tight.

Cheers Phil

Default Brake/Clutch covers Cab 13 1943

Warren - yes the other C8AX was Freds......I got to talk to him and his son in law while we waited. He found it hard to believe there were two more within 100kms from my home town.

Phil - I will get a few pictures of the cab 13 floor, but from what I take it I have the top section that slid over the steering column but a chap showed me the two pieces that I need to make the slip down from the top of the brake/clutch peddles. He thought when he pulled them from a wrecked cab years ago they clamped down on some old red felt....but was not sure.

I traced the two missing sections down on paper and once made will get some pictures of them and the floor.

<My model was built in canada and sent in crates to NZ

Default Felt Floor Seal

Maybe this felt part is what slipped under the three floor sections?. I have the steering column section and the template I have drawn up for the other two bits would fit spot on. Has anyone else found felt around this section before?

Default The Puddle Jumper is changing hands

Hi Folks,
Well Mick has done a wonderful job on the restoration but has decided to sell the old girl - to me. I feel very lucky to have scored the prize and look forward to using and maintaining such a wonderful vehicle.

This is my first Blitz, but not my first collectable or vintage vehicle so rest assured it is coming to a good home. I plan on getter out and about to some displays, shows and swap meets in the not too distant future and have big plans for a major fundraising event for Legacy featuring the Blitz. I'll keep you all posted.

Cheers

Default Change of ownership

Well you beat me to pass the news on here Peter.

Gave it one last wash today, drove around town and gave the locals one more look and wave at the old girl and she's on a tabletop heading to Texas Qld, Monday morning.

Now, anyone got something I should be picking up from them to do up, I'm ready for a 'whole' new challenge.

PM or email me

Mick

Well, I've started pouring over the puddle jumper and am getting her ready for a Qld RWC today and hopefully full rego tomorrow.

Can any one tell me are there supposed to be pedal rubbers? Brake and clutch are bare metal and have stamped cross hatching and the Accelerator has two thin strips of rubber running down the middle. The manual that Mick left me looks like they have proper rubber pads? If so, where can I get a set?

Cheers
Pete
