Another thing reguarding patches in the floor is that the patches must be applied on the inside not underneath. I had a car once a few years back and I had put a patch on the underside of the floor and when I went to have it safetied they failed it till I took it home and re-did the patch on the inside. The reason they said it had to be on the inside was that if someone stepped on the patch that was on the outside the persons foot could go through the floor when the patch let go, on the inside it can't
