You will notice in the newer pictures that the M35Cdn has the new styly combat split rims thet separate by removing the bolts in the centre. This style was adapted because pf the possibility of using run flats in the tires. Also the newer style tires have better traction and are smoother driving on the highway
The front bumpers extensions were to accomodate winches and a platform to work on. I have both the Cdn and US versions of the M35 and Cdn version, the front extension make engine work easier especially if you have to remove a large piece. All MLVWs were retrofitted with the longer style extension.
