Deep in the heart of Texas
It's a little harder to get in the Christmas spirit when we're setting record highs these days (85 on the Winter Solstice!) but cooler weather is forecast for Christmas so I might yet be able to light the Yule Log.
At this time of year I reflect on those no longer with us. I lost a very good reenactor friend this year, name of John Joblin and we all lost our very dear Jefe. So I'm going to pour a wee dram in a cup on Christmas Day and toast the memory of John and Jefe. Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year! Derek and Heather Heuring

Merry Christmas to all on MLU. We have lost a few military vehicle enthusiasts in 2011 and I have just received news that Jim Bennie, from near Shepparton in Victoria is seriously ill in St Vincents Hospital in Melbourne after being bitten by a spider. Not a nice way to spend Christmas for his wife Jenny and family.
Hopefully everyone are completing their Entry Forms for Corowa 2011. KVE looks forward to organising this event in March.
