Recovered grenade box inserts
Shaun,
I have made up some grenade inserts matched to the one recovered from your Ronson carrier, These inserts have been talked about before on this forum. I have attached a picture from an earlier thread as well as pics of the ones i had made at work. The lid insert will be replicated next and is just a piece of three layer ply. On your original there are traces of olive drab paint so suspect the wooden inserts were originally same colour as the rest of the carrier. I have three made up for you so will drop them over to you and borrow that lower engine fan cowl we talked about to copy, so let us know when you will be there. I can put up some dimensions if anyones interested, but they are already on here in a thread if you serch 'grenade box'. kev.
