On that subject, do you know of anybody locally or locally-ish that would be good to talk to in locating one?
Also, what yard does he own? On another note, how much would it cost to have a CMP shipped from Britain? They're certainly a lot more common over there (And I'd love to have one that actually saw combat-my dream would be to find one that was used by the 1st Canadian Parachute Infantry, but I'd just be happy to find one that's a veteran of some variety), and often in better shape. |

We had a small one from Isreal brought to AB It was $2500 .Look up H M V F .The UK military site .Alot of the over seas military comes from the Scandinavian counteries Alot of guys go to celabrate the war in Eroupe .They take their vehicles and would know how much it would cost .

Actually, I think I was just looking there on Friday-didn't go in, since they were closed, but I did a few passes after work.
Didn't see any MVs, but I DID see an old '50s Ford pickup-looked a bit beater, but the body was all there, great candidate for a Rat Rod... Also, the cost for shipping those trucks to Edmonton was less than half the price. ![]() What I'll probably end up doing is waiting until I have the money to pick up a used work truck, getting the trucks shipped to a storage yard, buying a truck and trailer in Edmonton, and hauling them back to Whitehorse myself when it thaws out a bit. |
