Hi again,Richard,yes,it's the same one.
Alex,thanks for the comments. I did not know they were brass.It took a while,but I know a couple guys near me who restored a carrier and they filled me in on what the fitting is for.Seemed very odd to me at first!
I think George's thread below this one deals with the brass cap?
Indeed,lots of armor missing.At least most of that is flat and square,but still lots of work.
Thanks for the comments,guys,and I will keep you all posted on my progress and who knows,maybe I can help someone else at some time.

The cap is steel. The large box is original kit. Good project.
