Due to a big storm that took out the power we couldn't watch any of it before work. I did manage to catch quite a bit at lunch time fortunately. The small TV at the garage was on all day and there were lots of clips on the news channels so any time you walked by you saw another part.

Hi Barry
Strange we lost power here just after 9 am here as well. They had just finished the live coverage here and they were starting the repeats when the power went out for the entire town. Killed the party up at the pub. I had set the DVD recorder the night before to get the live coverage which we did. My wife watched the whole thing live but I only saw bits of until we watch it in the evening. Cheers Phil

Sure watched just before heading off to work starting at about 6Am local in Ont Quebec time...
absolutely lovely event.. the Brits sure do know how to do this kind of thing extremely well ! Such pomp and pageantry is so rare these days Liked the trees in the cathedral. The choir and singing was magnificent. They all looked great, and who didnt chuckle at the two girls really silly hats. A real bright note in an otherwise grey and chilly spring here in Canada. Hurray for William and Kate

The oak trees in Westminster Abbey are to be planted in Prince Charles's Highgrove Estate.
Next year of course we have the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and that should be a major pomp and circumstance event with the Golden State Coach used again. |

I was even in uniform (CADPAT though) as I was watching during breakfast before heading out for weekend training. Quite an impressive spectacle. Should have been more OD green in the procession!

We celebrated here in England, by showing a choice selection of vehicles at my local pub ! We were invited by the landlord to help them stage celebrations for the wedding, so we feilded a 1940's pushbike, a Canam 350 motorcycle, a 1940 Ford F8 belonging to Anthony, a 1941 Bedford 15cwt in RAF markings (1st time out), and my 1942 C30 LAAT. Not only did we have a good few hours at the pub, talking to people, I also ended up being interveiwed by the local radio for a live broadcast. Did'nt see much of the wedding though !
