If yours was serial 586 (which would have been the 545th out of 709, and built on the 23 of March, then they must have been some busy making the last 164 trucks by the next day (24 Mar 53). Perhaps the 3-23-53 was the delivery/ inspection date rather than the build date?

Great information mind you. Of course, the records of things like this will not always be spot on 60 years later.
