Keith, interesting picture! I wonder if this is Arromanches though, as the Arromanches boulevard is (and was) known for it's sea wall. Could well be a village next to Arromanches for that matter, maybe Saint-Come-de-Fresne(?)

Have to agree on this one with you Alex, and I've just realised it actually reads, near Arromanches, which as you suggest is just down the coastline. Just shows how busy the beach area was post D.Day Regards Keith

OMG, a C8A HUP in ...Turkey!
 The caption says in greek: "Istanbul (Constantinoupolis) R.A.F. officers are photographed in front of the Sultan Ahmet mosque, builded at the begining of the 17nth sentury (1609-1616) better known as "The Blue Cami".
