Do any of you fellow scroungers / collectors in Ontario have parts, power supplies or a complete radio set #29 ? I believe these were built for a short time in 1945. I have a few bits and need more to complete it. Thanks !

Good luck! Bruce Parker, MLU regular and collector extraordinaire of WW2 Cdn radio sets has been looking for a 29 set receiver ( or was it a transmitter?) for many years now.

I have two "B" sets dated 1945 and 1946,
1 headset missing the mic hood ans one ear cushion, one C2 aerial tuning unit, Two manuals, Working instructions ws Canadian no. 29 and Working instructions ws, Canadian no. 29 Kits, aerial gear, no. C1 (scanned) The last info I heard about 29 sets was that most of the "A" set were buried because of the amount of radition given off by the front panel. I think they were buried in ont. All the 19 set control boxes and headsets and radio mounts are backwards or forwards (depending on your point of view) compatable with the 29 set Roberta Comox VI |
