RAF Vehicles

Seeing as this thread is getting off topic I thought I would attach this photo of what I believe is a torpedo carrier, especially as there is a Beaufort in the background.

I presume its RAF but what type of truck is it?

Is it military or a civi truck converted for purpose in the UK
