on the phone? So you have not had the opportunity to test it, inspect it, drive it, compare it? Something wrong there chum. To buy such a beast from overseas is more of a schmozzle and risk than you are portraying, unless you like chucking dollar bills into a strong wind. Then you have delivery to port after the export papers are done, sea freight, import duties etc, dock fees, cleaning fees, if it wasn't done properly in the UK, trucking fees within Canada and so it goes on. There is a lot more to buying from abroad than you can imagine. R |

This was a few years ago but the Suffield 432's went to Wheat City Salvage in Sask. Most were gassers but some diesels went later. They had no problem selling them to anyone with money. Jack Guthrie bought a couple, one was given to the Calgary Police.
I think they started disposing of them in 1995 for Gas and 2000 for Diesels in Canada. Long shot but Rob Love would probably know more since he's still out west and his most likely came from that herd. |
