Its because of the single braking master cylinder system, other than that thats it...thats why some are buying mlvws from the states changing the vin and frame number and theres come with a duel system.

Default Mlvw

The problems with the single cylinder brake system is easy to fix. You can now buy a 2 port brake reservoir from the US. Remove the old old install the new and run lines to the front axles.
Also we found a company the sells replacement brake system, it will convert the truck from the brake lining system to disc brakes and they will fit on the MLVW and the M35 trucks. the cost is about $4000 for 3 axles.

Stew you do have a good point. Has anyone outside of Ontario attempt to license a MLVW? If so with no luck is it possible then the Federal government may have black listed all the serial numbers to prevent the MLVW from being licensed?

When you get a favourable answer, jump in with both feet! Last year or so I had a copy of a UK MV collector's magazine with a story about a Czech BMP owner. He got a Yes for road registration from the vehicle registration office, but delayed getting the 2 or 3 changes done. When he went back, the ruling had changed. His new from reserves APC was henceforth confined to be flatbedded from parking garage to exhibition to approved "playing field". Bummer.

Hello again, Gilles.

Can you send me a link or more info on the two port brake reservoir and the disc brakes that will fit on the MLVW? Appreciated.

... and are you now in Comox or in Merickville. The latter practically makes us neighbours.

Thanks!
