Sand filled tubing
An old time tubing bender once told me that you have to fill the pipe with dry (really dry... he was quite specific on this) sand. Include sufficient extra length for about six inches of wastage as you will have to thread and cap the ends to keep the sand in. Start in the middle of the pipe and work your way out so the wastage is easy to hack off and toss. All this was to keep the tubing from flattening out and to avoid the dented in look you will get on each bend when using a hydraulic tubing bender.
