Maurice heard about some shortened F60L chassis/cabs surfacing a few years ago. So that's probably what this is.

Also, the pic below shows it has a "heavy" type steering box and only one gas tank (ex-FAT?).

There is at least one of these shortened F60L's with one of our forum members in Holland. But, doesn't an F60L have "tapering" chassis rails as well? The frame on this example seems to be straight right from the cab to the rear of the truck. Or would they have cut it right in front of the tapering section? Seems too long in the pictures to do that....
Does a FAT have a tapering chassis rails as well? Or straight like a C60X for instance?
Fuel tank seems to be of the larger FAT/C60X type indeed. What about a lenghtened FAT?

Alex

p.s. Hanno, I mentioned the bumper could be from a LAAT or FAT because of the bolts to fit the winch fairleads, but it seems all sorts of Cab 13 Fords had this bumper fitted from the factory.

Alex, AFAIK both the long and short chassis had tapered rear ends - see attached pics from Keith's web page www.oldcmp.net/Lloyd_Cab12_FGT_1.html

Is seems the Belgian one is indeed a shortened F60L, the chassis being lobbed before the point where the side rails taper upwards.

Could this one of them? It hails from Belgium, too.

F15A for sale in Belgium. Looks like a 1944-45 model and seems to be largely complete.

The owner also has an Austin K3 and two Morris-Commercial C8's for sale, one of which is converted.

Email me for the owner's contact details if you have a genuine interest.
