The Me109 was displayed at Preseneys, the ford dealership in Sale for a while.
The family still has the injector pump from it and another collector I know say's he has some bits from it. It also toured around with V2 rocket. the photo is the V2 in yarram edit this photo of the bomb came from roland on the Hcvc forum. Last edited by Luke R; 12-03-12 at 12:53. |

Really interesting pics, thanks Luke!
Another small correction - the V1 was powered by a pulse jet, not a rocket. I've interviewed several Spitfire, Mosquito and Typhoon pilots who intercepted these and either shot them down or toppled the gyros by carefully lifting a wing under theirs. In their logbooks they listed the trips as 'anti-diver' patrols.

Quite an amazing pic of the V1 at Yarram .
Wonder where the blond youth in the foreground is now. He would be about 80 now ![]() It looks like the V1 at Sale is actually flying !
