"Light-weight"??I think that we can safely confirm that "W" prefix = "Winch" so I discount that ...."L" may have stood for "Less [Winch]", as per C291Q. L-1, and C291Q. L-W as Hanno suggests, same but for "Water tank". I have conjected that the chassis was Model C291Q, although C291QL is also possible, although we have noted of course the "." full stop between "Q" and "L" on build plates, and this may just have been an assembly plant designation. If I remember rightly from the description of the "F22" the end result varied considerably from the F15A and thus C291Q would signify a different model chassis altogether.

Yes, I do know of THE person who can tell us I think. Her name is Sandra, aka Sandy, Notarianni, Ford of Canada's Historical Consultant in Oakville, Ontario. She is a Briton by birth and she and my mother share a common christian/forename.
