Thought I would throw up a picture of my Chev, Put in the glass and painted most of the cab untill the mosquitoes showed up and just about drove me off the deep end!

Is the front bumber really bent back on both ends or is it bad driving habits for its prior owners?

Just bad driving or driving in bush with no brakes and using trees to come to a stop. Painting and glass look good. For mossie control invite a fiew friends over to watch you work, give them a couple of ice cold beers that should keep them there as mossy traps while you work in comfort.

If the bent bumper disturbs you enough, the "C" channel section is still available and the last piece I saw still had "Made in Canada" rolled into it so that wouldn't be a giveaway that you had made a reproduction.

Of course, once you have a pristine bumper you will have to be careful not to hit trees....... |

Take a chain and hook it to one end of the bumper and run it around a tree and hook it to the other end of the bumper..back the truck up til there is a strain on the tree and then have your buddy heat bumper until straight..\ If you don't have a buddy, point it up hill, install chain ..release break til tension on chain..

			Remove bumper from truck

Dig one hole in the ground 2 foot diameter One length steel pipe long enough to reach bottom of hole 4 foot is good Twenty-five lbs of charcoal One shop vacuum cleaner or leaf blower One 10 foot length of steel I beam One 10 ton jack Couple of lengths of chain One match You now have all the ingredients necessary for one make shift forge to heat the bent area of the bumper. If you are imaginative you can replace the jack, beam, and chain with a 10 lbs sledgehammer and get very good results. Let me warn you though this tends to be a one time trick, the second time the bumper get bent this doesn’t seem work. I've down this trick 3 times on two different trucks and have now fabricated two new bumpers. Cheers Phil
