Yes, Richard, that would be good. Where will you be located?

Made a snap decision yesterday to attend, so much to get organised in the interim.

Default New Project

Hi all - thank you for your interest. As with our half-track project, I did not proceed until I obtained all the Carrier running gear. With this project I need to obtain the bofors, even if I just hunker parts together to obtain a shell. I have a lead that I am following up and of course I have Colin as well. As Mike has stated I could have several options of what to build, but I really like the cab configuration of the Canadian truck, it looks so different to any Blitz I have seen. The Oz version just looks too plain.

With that in mind, Hanno, could you copy the Canadian images from Dirk's thread to this one?

I am also open to suggestions for a project name, Project ????????

Tony - I like your devious suggestions about ownership and storage of another truck. At this stage Ada has no idea about this project but eventually I will have to fess up.

Bob

Hi Bob

The only way we will get away with the ownership deception plan is if your wife and mine do not talk about our hobbies. Luckily mine is not that interested in any type of vehicle so we may just get away with it. I note Richard Coutts-Smith ended up with what was left of Tim Vibert 1980's project vehicle, he may have the Boffor. Save us having to do a raid. Ha Ha Ha...

Cheers

Tony

Tony, the only bits I have left from Tims conversion are the cut out panels (painted Formply) for either side of the cab.

Bob,
Not one to name someone else's truck, But.....

PROJECT HARRY!

Harry Callahan: I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a 40mm Bofors, the most powerful Blitz in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

Default The Target Vehicle

Hi all - you must admit this looks pretty awesome. Leaves the Oz version for dead.

Hi Bob

Those photos look fantastic, I can already see the finished vehicle in your CMP stable. I think a good name for the new project should be, "PROJECT ADA" that could help bring her onside. As you know the "Little Jo" project worked for me.

Cheers

Tony

I think you might cop a bit of Flak if you try to name an Anti-Aircraft Gun after your wife. But then again, if your already cop Flak from your Wife, you could nickname her "Bofors"!

Default already done!

I recall year ago John B had a gun on the back of a FGT. I suspect Tony Wheeler may know were it ended up. Not sure what became of the gun.

Hi Keith

That's a good idea, but I must add a password for complete privacy.

Cheers
