Too often we look at a truck as a whole entity without considering it is a sum of its parts, some of them are intriguing works of art in their own right.
Now, every CMP over 8CWT would have had one of these, let's see who can guess what it's purpose is first. ![]() Hint: It's not what you'd call a fast moving part in the catalogue, nonetheless they had to be supplied as spare parts. It would make an ideal paperweight.

I think you have been spending too much time alone in your garage with your truck Keith. You sound like Tom Hanks in Castaway. Your truck isn't called Wilson and has a smile painted on its grill has it. Sorry just have to go and tuck Marmy in to bed.

Ah yes, I didn't catch the "not" in "It's not what you'd call a fast moving part in the catalogue". I should quit trying to follow the forum on my not-so-smart-phone.

I occasionally look at the forum on the phone, but only when I can't see it any other way. It's just too small and awkward.

Speaking of pintle hook paperweights, this one has seen years of service keeping the faulty microswitch on my washing machine depressed....although I quickly discovered the non-skid device essential for unbalanced loads!
