Unfortunately Alex, It's not me but I would have liked to have done one of them up. I don't know who or where it has gone but perhaps CJ may enlighten us.

Indeed, one of the interested parties from this forum will be taking ownership of the M548. A big thank you to everyone for their information and help with this unit. I won't name names, but I am hoping that they will be posting the before, after and progress photos of the unit down the track. Cheers, CJ |

I have it on good authority that this vehicle has been earmarked for preservation by an ex member of the RAAC and destined to join the collection of a well known Sydney based Army museum.

hello,
Back in the 1980s, there was a trucking company in Flin Flon, Manitoba that ran a few of these and M113 cut down to use with pickers to move logs around the yard and load trucks and railway trains. Not sure if he still has them, but he got them out of the states. I'll do some research to see if he is still in existance. They may be long gone by now. A lot of bush;logging, and mining and expoloration companies in the north purchased them to drive across the muskeg. This guy had a lot in Channing, MB, that he worked out of. Ewen
