Blew the cobwebbs out of the cab with the leaf blower and drove to Adelong for a meeting today. It was great to be on the road again, unfortunately I left the camera at home

Rego check tomorrow so service today. I finally took the opertunity to fit a thermostat to the blitz today and after a 20Km test run found no water leaks and the engine ran between 70 and 80 deg c. so I am happy.

After the run to test the thermostat I changed the oil, greased, ajusted the brakes, toped up the brake fluid and washed the cab. There was a little bit of daylight left so I cleaned up another part and painted it. While I had the spray can out I touched up a fiew spots on the cab also.

I filled in a wet morning by cleaning up the roof hatch latch housing and painting it. Now I have to design and make the internals and install them.

Today I used the angle grinders to make the tongue of the catch out of a piece of 16mm key. I still have to make the handle and cut the grove for the handle to pass through the tongue.
Can anyone tell me if the spring is let into the tongue or just droprd into the gap?
