Alex, are you sure? I googled this a couple of days ago and couldn't find anything recent. All news reports are from April and May. After that complete radio silence?
Cheers,

Finally I got it home! Pictures will be posted on monday. Filled with snow and frozen soil, it will be stored outside until sping. I donīt have any warm garage to park it in for the moment.
Will consider trade Regards Erik |

Sorry for the delay. As you can see itīs a totaly frozen up UC. I know the engine is still in it and I hope the drivetrain is to. Have the steering gear since earlier, steering wheel is broken though. This is a good hull to begin a restoration from or use as a donor. One track is still buried, I may dig it up next summer. Tracks, wheels, sprockets are all in a good condition, no mayor rust. What you see is a lot of frozen soil that looks like heavy rust.

now make a big vat fill it with mollasses and water, submerge the carrier and leave it for a fortnight... then wash rinse and repeat as required

I'd like to see pictures of the carrier in the family swimming pool with molasses, and the unfortunate carrier owner being berated by the missus...

I wonder how long it would take to get from the UK to Sweden? Can it be as bad as visiting Tain (nine hour drive)?

Andy, it's quite a ride because you have to drive far up north of Sweden. From Gothenburg it's about 1000km...

Nice find!
Restored a Bedford OYD worse than that! Burying things does seem a habit for some people - I recall seeing some film from the Irish Army where they dug a big hole, drove a very nice looking Churchill tank into it and then covered it over... about 15 years ago... Why... who knows... where... who knows... Crying shame though... you'd have thought they'd have wanted to put it into a museum or sell it to a collector. Can only hope this was a "spoof" film and the tank was dug up again afterwards. |

I think I have seen an article in Classic Military Vehicle magazine where they dug up the Churchill that would be seven to nine years ago maybe even longer thinking about it.
Cars, motorbikes and the like have been buried rather than have to pay to have someone collect them. |

Did some waterpressure cleaning yesterday, starts looking like a carrier again. Still lot of frozen soil inside engine bay.
