This box is marked C283 and was a standard ammo box. They are very hard to find. I'm also looking for some to go with my 6 pdr. Cheers,

I have tried to search "C283 ammo box " or C283 ammo container" via Google but no result. It is really hard to find even the books  Kurtis

Hi Kurtis,
My apologies for a typo mistake! It should be C238!  Google will show some images but not many. There must have been hundreds of thousends of these boxes once. Almost impossible to find nowadays. Cheers,
