Default Colours

As noted, paint on 1942-44 vehicles was brown. Even after that, the olive drab colour was a shade greener and darker than most of the "340...Olive Drab" paint currently available. I also suspect that "Khaki No.2" was in use both during the 1942-44 period (as proved by at least two vehicles dated March 1943 and November 1943) and later in 1944 (as demonstrated on a vehicle dated June 1944). Still better than dark, shiny, NATO-era olive drab.
