Wksp Tlr NZ 23625 suggests that the former ZPI radar trailer had been converted to some kind of military mobile workshop. The original roof mounted antenna has been removed and a spare tire mounted at the rear. Possibly one of the units sold to the Aussies in 1943 and later found its way to NZ ?
Attached are images from MLU member Servicepub's ( aka Clive Law ) collection showing another conversion. No details available about this one, either. Looks like the kind of trailer you would find on a AA practice firing range or Experimental Weapons Proving Ground. A positive identification would be nice to have.
