The bad economy has hit hard. Apparently trade of military collectibles has plummeted over the last year. A seller based in Germany told me that his turnover from Ebay sales has dropped by 6o% and sales through milweb have stopped almost completely. He flattered me by saying that he made good business through www.milmarket.org. Good news for us, although I don’t think that our military market place will save the world economy…

I would hope that realistically priced MV parts & vehicles will still find their buyers. I'm not particularly well-off financially speaking, but there is always a little money available for the genuine bargains and needed pieces. Things are no doubt tight the world over, but we're not ready to give up our hobby/passion just yet.
Having said that i'm not hugely wealthy, I do have enough money to last the rest of my life, so long as i'm dead by Thursday next week! ![]() Viva la MVs!

I think the drop in sales might be due to parts being overpriced, there is a post here for a Chev bow-tie for the grill, the Buy-it-now price is $49.00 US.
Might be just me but I think that is a little high for such a small piece, a guy couls spend $1,000,000.00 just getting parts for a CMP that is in the shape mine is in, (rolling chassis with cab). Gary

I know what you mean Gary. Can't comment on Chev badge pricing, but I have found it common to see an item from the other side of the planet which is cheaper, incluing shipping, than something local or in my own country. That said, at times this can be dramatically reversed. Guess that means I have to check every single item for both domestic and international sourcing! Oh joy!
