Was in my local tyre dealer and saw this up against the wall.
![]() It belongs to Shoalhaven Heads RSL Sub Branch for their gate guard but rust and someone's welding have damaged it beyond use. I don't know the piece, but if you can help out with a servicable replacement contact the RSL club (02) 4448 8964 or Cookes Tyre Service Nowra. (02) 4421 7344 |

Hi Dianaa,
These 25 pounder rims are getting hard to find in good condition. Any Blitz rim (CMP) will fit and do the job. Going by the paint job originality will not matter. 8.25 is the correct tyre size and they do not have to be NDT. |

Wayne,
When I was in 11 Field Regiment in the 60's the 25 pounders had 9.00x16 with NDT tyres. Lang |

Hi Lang,
My gun and most others I've seen here and overseas were also fitted with 900 x16 tyres but the first guns were fitted with 8.25 tyres. The firing platform width was designed for 8.25 tyres that's why the 900 x16 hang over the edge slightly. |
