Now there are some memories. I was a young craftsman working on many of those vehicles. Back then, DND bought large batches of vehicles, many purpose built as fleet vehicles from the big 3. There were only 3 colours involved....yellow with black hood, Lincoln commercial green, and of course you could have the sedans in any colour as long as it was black. Oh, and maybe the odd ambulance in white.
Air conditioning was never in any of them, and even AM/FM radios were usually purchased by the transport canteen fund, as the cars did not come with them.
