I think I have (or had) some of that course training package downstairs. I instructed on the conversion courses back around 83. Actually, you did not instruct, you merely assisted, since it was a self taught course for the most part.

I know what you meant about the spare tire removal. I watched as a Brute of a PPCLI tried to remove the tire from the holder....he was literally shaking the whole truck. Yet I, as a 160 pound craftsmen, could remove and replace the spare on the holder without issue. It was a brains over brawn thing.

I picked up an MLVW a few weeks ago, and have been working on it since. It had been in a rollover accident and then cannibalized, so the fun has been trying to find all those little bits and pieces, and get them to fit where they belong. It is slowly progressing.
