Default Carrier on milweb

A rather nice carrier for sale in the UK.... Possibly the most expensive I have seen to date

Quote:
A very rare opportunity to own a nice piece of ww11 history.
Road registered, drives great and ready to show.
281 miles from new.
Owned for the last 41yrs by my late father. Included in the sale
are a number of spare parts. Serious inquiries only please.
75.000

I have no connection to the seller

Fingers crossed he sells it, may set a new bar for the price of carriers

NOT when im trying to buy one mate...!!!!
Just had a deal go sour on me because the seller saw this price on Milweb and now hes asking restored UK prices (£30,000) for a resto saying I could sell it for £75,000!!!!
And its abroad so would have shipping on that too!
Why do people think its worth so much??
He needs his arse kicking back to reality!
Dont get me wrong, its a nice carrier, but only a £40,000 one!

Funny how a seller can see someones elses advert and then assume their asking price is reality...
The only reality is what something actually sells for.

A T-16 is advertised on HMVF forum with offers around £25,000, is that low enough?

Agree Hanno, Carriers coming out of the woodwork at the moment....doesn't that mean that the price should fall? Doubt it.

There's nothing like a rise in 'value' to generate a similar rise in desire to own!

1944 Bren Gun Carrier Reg. No. 609 UXC Chassis No. 29264 In the current ownership since 1970 and originally purchased for giving rides at rallies. The Ford V8 petrol engined full track is a restored example that is complete with original toolbox and tools. Its film credit is a role in the 1996 film Evita, Maddona, starring as Eva Peron has ridden in this very vehicle during filming in Budapest. Offered for sale with V5 documentation, guaranteed to raise an eyebrow at the supermarket and only available due to wear and tear on the owner rather than the vehicle. Estimate £28,000 - £32,000

Here's a front picture of it.

"the frontal armour was missing because the man who owned found it hard getting in & out of it!! Mad isn't it".

Kevin.
I think that would have been owned by a chap called Dusty Miller as I recall him doing Carrier rides at some of the MVCG shows back in late Seventies onward. The sign on the side reminds me.
