Default Strange grilles...

...on the military ones. I have an Oxford Landrover which is excellent, but I am not so convinced about all their military models.

Hi Chalky,
LAAT bodies on all of them, I'll have to keep my eye out for one. I bought an MW a few weeks ago made by them, rather nice.

Our local bus company United Automobile Services had a CMP LAAT painted red as a breakdown truck for years, into the 70s at least.
It always stood just inside their garage entrance at Loftus but I never saw it move . I think it may have been preserved.
This was the only CMP i saw in my youth

Default CMP Models

I was looking to buy a few but they are incorect in the sense that they do not have the observer hatch on the passenger side and the roundel on top is centered as it should be on the driver's side.

Too bad there was not attention to detail.

Bob

Hi Bob. Are you saying that these LAATs are wrong because they don't have a roof hatch or cupola? In the past I have owned four of them i.e. two F30 and two F60s, and none of them were so fitted.
Rhett.

Roof hatch was optional on CMPs and if not fitted the roundel was centred. You can just make it out in this photo, I have some more obvious examples but can't seem to lay my hands on them right now.

In addition, the CMP with the roundel on the roof has the formation and unit signs reversed.
