Default Differences

In earlier production they both had the small steering ends and the small steering box. The larger versions were not introduced to the 3-ton range until later in the war, although I don't have the exact date.

Most of the 30CWT versions have 16" wheels too.

Default Chassis Depth

Can anyone please measure the depth of the chassis rails on an F30 please?

I can then check that against them this weekend.

cheers
Rob

Good morning Robin,
It's a beautiful winters morning here in the B O P . I hope it's the same for you in Gisborne.

The chassis depth is as follows: At transfer case cross member 178 mm
rear shock absorbers 120 mm
front shock absorbers 126 mm
According to the parts book some F60s had the light steering box and some the heavy ones but they all had a vaccum booster unit by the master cylinder. F30 did not have a booster.
Even if the booster is missing the mounting bracket and or linkages should be still there if it is a F60s.
Rear spring assembly part no's seem to be the same on all models F30 and up.
Of course F30 wheels were 16" F60s 20".
Hope this is of help.

Regards Terry
