The wheel and tire assemblies on the Penguin look a lot like the same set up used by Bombardier on their larger snowmobiles that the commercial fisherman are still using on the lakes in the winter. I recall a number of vehicle boneyards up along the way to the old bombing and gunnery range with a number of stripped Bombardiers sitting about. Might be worth your while to check with some of the guys up that way working with that equipment. If the wheel assys match up, they may be able to point you in the right direction for parts. David |

I do believe the roadwheels are the same as the commercial Bombardiers.
I assume you are talking about Langruth, and the Sandy Bay area. I was just through there a few weeks ago looking for something else. Plenty of stripped vehicles alright, and every yard seemed to have at a minimum 2 burned out vehicles. Never noticed any Bombardiers, but then again I was looking for an MLVW at the time. |
