Default I stand (actually sitting) corrected!

Hi Ron,
I have a bad habbit of calling the 2 gallon fuel/oil/water can a flimsy even though it has been discussed on MLU the difference between the two. Thanks for the correction.
I assume that there was more than one company that built and supplied jacks for the jeeps during it's production. There seems to be a few different versions out there.I will assume mine is correct unless told different. Thanks for your help.
Regards,Derk.

Derk
Go search on the G503 site. There are some on that site who are very knowledgeable as to what variations of jack were provided during which months the Jeeps were issued.

I also picked up a few items with Derk yesterday, and will display them later today or tomorrow. I even got one that Ed (the fuel/water can collector) Storey might like.

Nice finds, Derk. I didn't think there would be much of that stuff left these days. FYI, the carrier parts, along with a quantity of CMP parts and tools, came out of a Crown Assets sale in Lloydminster and were shipped out to our part of the world along with about 2 dozen Mk I carriers. You already know where a bunch of those carriers ended up! All happened in the late 1950's, if I remember Jim's story correctly.
