Vestiges of D-Day- France
I won't copy and past the article (as per a previous post) so I hope this link stays up for awhile
http://www.ouest-france.fr/70e-d-day...anches-1823965 Basically it says, the artificial port created to support the landing and the push inland ... is slowly being destroyed and will be gone in 10 years. They are trying to find funds to preserve the remaining caissons.
