Similar style to yours Richie with the core plugs in the sump mating face, it has the later two bolt distributor which if original to the block makes it 1942, earliest...? My 1941 85HP Detroit unit had no engine number at all stamped on it. If the bores are 3 1/6" then its an 85HP unit. If the main caps are missing your are a little buggered, but I am sure someone has a cracked block that they could be taken from and then get then cut down and line bored.
