Ive got just the truck for one of these bodies.

I have no idea what was originally on the back of this one.. it was probably a GS body.

But the Indian pattern ambulance is a variant you dont see very often and would be one worth reproducing.

wrong cowl and cab type for the Indian Pattern Ambulance Tony

plus I feel it a shame to muck up that Chev you have.

PS> have you remembered to get the few measurements I asked for off the cab?

Tony here is another photo of a different survivor which shows the front cowl and cab a bit better

Photo is off the web some years ago along with a few others of the same vehicle which I used to make the model I posted earlier in this thread.

Default Oh! err... righto then.

That's very interesting Cliff.. I didnt realise the cab was so modified at the back and the doors as well.

I thought the back just went over the top of the Cab.

I am sorry about the measurements... I had forgotten in all inconsiderate honesty...

What did you need again?

Hi Tony. Yes it only had one opening door on the LHS as the spare tyre and mount blocked the drivers door.

On the Holden cab just want a measurement at floor level across the cab external to external at the front door pillars, width and height of doors and width of cowl to bonnet edge at the mold line and width of body from back door pillars to the rear of cab. Just need to check that some kit parts I have are accurate to scale. Metric or Imperial does not matter.

Thanks Tony I appreciate it.

Cheers

Ive got a couple of pics of one of these bodies being made . I think they contracted out the body work to local body builders in Melbourne and other places maybe .

I will post the pics here tomorrow.

BTW that vehicle pic cliff posted. I was offered that vehicle as part of a swap deal that never happened .

Reminds me I think Danny Stanton has one of these vehicles , he plans on restoring it , it might be the example pictured ?
