Hi Bob

I'll check what it's made of when I get to the shop in the morning.

Now that it's out of the weeds I can have a closer look tomorrow at those fuel tanks on the FAT when it gets delivered.

Yes it's a 41 Ford Cab 12 Field Artillery Tractor. I just bought it from Stew Robertson. He told me it was a remnant from Bill Greggs collection that didn't go west. It has a different type of roller on the rear. Maybe there is a different set up with the fuel tanks? Once I get it to the shop I'll start it's own thread.

Default Looking forward to seeing more of the FAT......

Meanwhile I will hunt for the different rear lead set ups from my reference photos.

Here's the first thing I saw sticking out of the bushes.

Default Peek-a-boo.... not much there.

You must have been using a metal detector.

Here are some pictures of the rear fairleads on a cab 11 Chev...... this model has a shaft that runs the full width of the rear...... Horizontal pulley are more exposed and larger.

Next the other style found on cab 13 such as the C60......

Cheers

Default Winch rear fairleads

These are pictures of mine transplanted from possibly a Cab 13 C 60 or a cab 13 CGT by previous first owner.

Before as found and cleaned up.

Cheers

I need shares in the company to fix this tank. lol
Ian, believe it or not, but I have just saved this pic to my harddrive, as it gives a nice look at the inner walls in the fuel tank and the cutout made in one of them for the cover!
