About a year ago, I ran across some Lend Lease Records from the first part of the war that listed equipment shipped out of the USA to various allies. Included was a very small batch of White Halftracks to Canada. The number would have been no where near enough to equip a fighting force, but may have come up to Canada somewhere for training purposes. The record did not provide a detailed delivery point, only the recipient country. I wonder if they could have gone to Borden?

Andrew.
The reference was indeed to half-tracks. The White Scout Car was probably also listed in the report, I just wasn't looking for that item at that time. I have now posted a link to the Lend Lease Report in a new thread in the WW2 History forum, if you want to go into it for a look see. Cheers, David |
