CDN m151a2 front seat belts
Hello
I am looking for one or two functioning CDN installed 3 point front seatbelts for the M151A2. These were installed with the roll cage. I know that it is a MOPAR item from 1976 and have tried numerous searches on the internet using the part numbers. I do have two used sets, good for display only. Thanks Eric cmpmagazine@hotmail.com

Are the belts themselves shot or is it the re-wind mechanism? The mechanism's never worked from day one anyway. Any photos you will see of the M151A2s will almost always have the belts hanging out the side if not being used.
I would suggest you head out and find a similar rewind mechanism out of something more modern, and have the belt made up to the original design while salvaging the buckles. You can buy the seatbelt material by the roll. However, they technically require the little label in them that certifies them. Alternatively, there are shops like this: http://www.seatbeltrepairshop.com/ or http://www.seatbeltsolutions.com/refurbishing.html who are certified to rebuild seat belt assemblies. The cost is not terrible, and if it saves just one life (yours) the cost will be worth it. |

seast belts
There are some nice 3-point retracting seat belts sets available for Humvees. I have installed retro-fitted them into my Humvee front and back since it only had lap belts originally. The kits come with lots of extra hardware. I can't recall the exact details on how they mounted the M151A2 roll cage but I'm sure they are adaptable.

I used a set out of an Iltis.

I did similar and went with HLVW belts. They look close enough to the originals and work well.
IIRC, trying to go with the original Dodge Van belts wasn't worth the expense and were actually hard to source.

M151a2 belt
Hello all
Thanks for the responses, its exactly what i was thinking. I have been looking for something similar on the internet. Especially something that will have the original covers fit it. These were not designed to be left outside, the belts absorbed water and the webbing expanded. Then they were painted over. Scott will have to look at your setup. Thanks Eric
