David,
Three limbers are Frost and wood the fourth is Canadian but I don't know who the manufacturer is so I have attached a picture of the plate, anyone know who this is ? Unfortunately they have no trays but these do turn up from time to time. One is available and for sale. Robin, These are the fruits from a compulsive almost obsessive search for 'anything' Artillery related to my collection. It all takes time and money to find this gear these days as we all know! OMG Rob! That was the company I was trying to remember: Richardson Road Machinery Company Limited from Saskatoon! Brilliant!
That company was still around in the 1980's and a friend of mine paid them a visit. Met an old chap who took him on a tour of where the Limbers were built and they discovered a box of NOS canvas mud flaps in a corner of the building along with a barrel of long dried out No. 2 Brown Paint. The mud flaps were also No. 2 Brown padded canvas style with a steel bar weight at the bottom. Well done, Rob! David |
